Go into your neighbor's or company trash and find a 12V wall wart to power the controller. LED strips come in either 12V or 24V so match voltage with your wall wart. Controllers generally will accept any voltage. Note - I actually use the Zigbee flavor of the controller instead of wifi, but either work identically.
