I use the same cargo carrier. Lightweight so that the 160lbs vertical load weight is used for gear and not the cargo carrier itself Has an open front so that I have a bit of wiggle room for gear that may not fit a 4-wall box Inexpensive Has additional clearance I also use the following: Amazon.com: Let's Go Aero (SHP2040) Keyless Press-on Locking Silent Hitch Pin for 2in Hitches : Automotive so I don't hear any rattling. I sleep in the Tesla, so like to pack with the thought that if it rained outside that I can lay down and my gear would either be inside with me or protected outside. That hasn't happened yet, but if it did I know I'm covered. With the carrier bag pretty full I was able to open the back without issue. I use a couple of ratchet straps to keep it immobile. The only issue with a bag like this is that if you strap it down too tight you could bend or damage the stuff inside. Also, I stopped every once in a while to tighten things up as they shifted. I might upgrade to a hard sided box instead that a few others of recommended. I didn't notice much in terms of reduced mileage, and backing into a Supercharger wasn't too much of a challenge. I did have to get out a couple of times and inch my way to it. I hope this helps!
