Nope, not easy at all, but it illuminated so much that I didn't even realize was happening. It's why I always recommend it. Shia Ribowsky - a "medicolegal investigator" also from the OCME - wrote a book too: "Dead Center". Granted, he only spends about half the book talking 9/11, but his stories prior to that were honestly informative and entertaining. One example: While processing a double murder, he and others in and around an emergency vehicle ducked at the sound of gunfire. Turns out the murderer came back to watch the crime scene, bragged about it to at least one friend of the victims, then got capped in retaliation. So, three murders to process, one as he was practically right there, right across the street. Stories like that are wild, and he had plenty of them. PLUS, he also discussed aspects of his profession, so it was also a learning experience. In a lot of ways, Dead Center is better than Who They Were, it's just that fully half of it is unrelated to Sept. 11th. So it's never my first recommendation on that topic. But it's worth it to read.
