Started my locs myself (all 440 of them) and have always done my own reties. I use option one, but strongly considered options 2 & 4 myself. I started out using one of those 3 way, over the door mirrors like this one but rarely pull it out anymore. I think it’s helpful to see what you’re doing when you don’t know what you’re doing though lol after a while you’ll just get a feel for it, I believe in you!
