I didn’t know anything about an ice machine until I saw it repeatedly mentioned here right before my surgery in April. I ended up buying three of these and kept them on a constant rotation. I love them. I have one draped over my shoulder now since I had therapy today. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FCM91S7B?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 I originally fell and hurt my shoulder in January of 2025, finally had an MRI in July of 2025 and just had surgery in April. I waited too long, I had a lot of damage that needed to be repaired, more damage than the MRI showed, most likely because I kept causing damage between July and April. 😕 I chose not to have the nerve block, I did set my phone alarm for every 4 hours to remind me to take my pain medicine, to avoid having to “chase the pain”. I don’t regret refusing the block, I already had a lot surgery/anesthesia anxiety leading up to the surgery and the thought of the dead arm or pins and needles for days after the block nearly sent me over the edge.
