I don't use a griddle on my grill. With my side-control burner setup it would need to be full length, which would be fine if I wanted one. But this is not a concern for front burner grills. Your setup makes griddling, indirect cooking, and the smoking-with-chips-in-a-foil-pan even easier to manage. My only other outdoor cooker is a Cuisinart 3-in-1 propane pizza oven that came with a griddle insert and grill grate. I use the pizza stone for pizza, and have never used the griddle or grate once <shrug> But if you want to get that griddle, then go for it. $99 for an insert that fits nicely is reasonable as long as it's big enough for what you want to cook and heavy/thick enough to give you the thermal performance you prefer. You can always sell it on FB marketplace for $25 or 50 if it doesn't work for you and try something else. If your Genesis griddle and chamber can hot enough (600F+) you can probably make a decent pizza with it too. Tongs: https://www.amazon.com/Grill-Tongs-Resistant-Stainless-Grilling/dp/B0FKSVTNB5 is more or less what I've had about as long as my youngest kid has been alive. Smashburger spatula (5"x6" variant): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C8TJ532J is nice and heavy with a full tang, and beveled edge to get under the thin patties. It's also heavy enough to sit flat and keep tortillas from bubbling, which is a plus. Scrubber: https://www.amazon.com/Cast-Iron-Skillet-Pre-Seasoned-Cookware-Round/dp/B072BX42TN I have one of these for my cast iron pan and use it to clean char off the pans I use when smoking. This would be good for a cast iron or steel griddle too. Gloves: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BR7VKYWD and inserts for handling BBQ or other hot things https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MVWY6XR Probe thermometer: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XXSYLL8 Should use up the rest of that savings on the items we skipped :) PS -- one more thing. If you heed my advice and skip the cover, then get a medium-soft brush to shoo the dust away before use. Something like https://www.amazon.com/Rbenxia-Household-Fireplace-Furniture-Woodworking/dp/B0BZ87PH4B But test it on an inconspicuous spot of the lid to make sure it doesn't scratch. Soft horse hair shouldn't but you never know.
