Don’t be! For every cool rock I’ve found, I found ten that were pretty but not geologically interesting. I think it’s always cool to slab it! You know where I’ve found good agates? In the gravel beds they use for landscaping around Aurora and Denver. You have this huge area called the Palmer Divide near the springs with lots of petrified wood. See if you can “dig” around the internet and you might find some good pieces. I’d grab a copy of either “Rockhounding Colorado” or “Colorado Rockhounding” and dive in. There are lots of hidden places listed, but some might have turned into private property since then. https://www.amazon.com/Colorado-Rockhounding-Minerals-Gemstones-Collecting/dp/0878422927 https://boulderbookstore.net/book/9781493067909
