But in fairness, the XT6 is much better mechanically than the Heritage 150p. The F/8 focal ratio is easier to collimate to tolerance, and you can save money by buying cheaper eyepieces that behave at F/8, that would otherwise not behave well at F/5. Basically this whole eyepiece set + a generic 32mm Plossl ($40 or so), would almost completely cover your needs. The Heritage 150p's eyepieces are kind of junky and need to be upgraded, and of that kit I linked to, only the 6mm and 9mm will perform well. The 15mm and 20mm won't (and neither will a 32mm Plossl). You'd be left having to buy a decent ~25mm eyepiece that can perform well at F/5. Your choices are $100-120 for a 25mm Celestron X-Cel LX, or hope you can get a 24mm Explore Scientific 68 for $99 still. Still, 8 hour round trip and the XT6's mirrors might be in bad shape, is a risk. The included 60mm AZ scope should just be considered a bonus and not part of the deal.

I haven't used them yet, but I just purchased this svbony set after quite a bit of research. It seems that people generally recommend against getting a barlow if you can avoid it.

I just went through this question and research with my own AD8. I decided that the best "bang for the buck" was going to be the svbony 68° red line set with 6, 9, 15, and 20mm EP's Link to set on Amazon. You may be able to find it cheaper in other sites. https://a.co/d/02MGVuvv I haven't received/used them yet, they come in on Friday, but they are generally regarded as quality EP's, especially for the price.

The 25mm plossl will get you a magnification of 48x. I would look at picking up a 12-13mm eyepiece for (100x) and a 6mm eyepiece for 200x for viewing planets and the moon. While the 25mm plossl is going to be narrow in it's FOV, it will probably be decently sharp and the eye relief will make viewing comfortable. A 12mm plossl starts to push the comfort level a bit and a 6mm plossl can be annoying to use, and if you wear glasses, implausible to use. If you can grab a set of the SvBony redline's or their old gold lines, which come in 6, 9, 15, 20 mms, you'd have a great set of eyepieces to start off with that are reasonably good and comfortable to use. These are not plossl's and have a greater FOV and better eye relief. link: https://www.amazon.com/SVBONY-Telescope-Eyepiece-Broadband-Astronomical/dp/B07C6LRCNN/ref=sr_1_1_sspa
