I have: Gotten a better router(200usd) Bought 75 feet of pcvr data transfer cable (80usd) Went through DAYS of troubleshooting, forum searching, youtube videos, calls to my isp. Please do what I list below for your own sanity. Get a quest 3, dont do a 3s the visuals are terrible(same as quest 2). For wired connection to your pc: Use a pcvr data cable WITH a charge port that you plug a seperate chsrge cable to like this one: https://a.co/d/07jLPlOx Add an extender as needed like this one: https://a.co/d/09sq70VG Use the meta link app that comes with the headset to connect to your pc. If you want wireless it gets more complicated Wireless: Youll usually want 500mbps or higher internet speed Youll want a wifi6e wifi band, if your router cant do that, get a new router, i got this one:https://a.co/d/09j0sbuP AVOID THE MESH ROUTERS, USE TRADITIONAL AND THE ROUTER NEEDS TO BE IN THE SAME ROOM AS YOUR PLAY SPACE. That wifi 6e band needs to ONLY have your headset connected to it. Youll want virtual desktop app for your headset and desktop (25usd purchase from the headset app store) the manager is free on the desktop side. I promise that you want to do this stuff for wireless, otherwise its a stutter mess, and its awful. The wired connection is WAY easier, and cheaper to do, and it works flawlessly out of the box. This is not a cheap hobby to get into. Its pretty cheap once you have all the hardware, but if you want a true vr experience dont buy anything less than a quest 3. The 2 sucks, the 3s sucks. The lenses are very important, because if it looks like shit,,whats the point? Ive had a quest 2, and its trash. Quest3 or save up until you can afford it. Ebay has tons of good refurbished options that shave off some of the cost.
