If you want good-quality digital transfers, perhaps the best option is to get a minidisc deck that has optical output. I am quite fond of my Onkyo FR-N9X which I use with a Cubilux TOSLINK-USB adapter connected to my computer. From there it's a simple matter of burning the ripped audio to CD with your CD burner.

If you want to record digitally from your computer, pick one of these up: https://www.amazon.com/Cubilux-UCSTR-B3-Transmitter-Receiver-Compatible/dp/B0D7DJRPPB/ You'll also need a TOSLINK to mini-TOSLINK cable: https://www.amazon.com/Elecan-Flexible-Protection-Surround-Soundbar/dp/B0D97JKPXK/ Hope this helps!
