You might wanna look into this case here. It’s a perfect fit even with the TPU shell. Was worried about the sticks as well and thankfully everything still fits in my carhartt loose fit work pants. My RP Mini V2 has been amazing for work as a pocket PS2 machine. I just take it out from its case and play on it during my 1 hour lunch, and 15 min breaks. That said, I’m an overnight stocker for retail and the job is generally really boring. Especially since everyone keeps to themselves. The RP Mini V2 has been really great at helping me decompress though.
