I know it looks ridiculous but putting tin foil, shiney side out, on your windows, reflects the sun and heat away from your home. Mylar table clothes from the Dollar Store work too. *Also put trays of wet but not dripping, Activated Charcoal in a thin layer on a cookie sheet, in your windows will cool the breeze coming in. Not as great as A/C but it WORKS! You have to keep it wet, so mist it frequently with water. Soak charcoal for about a half hour, pour off extra water, put in windows. The more space covered the better, use a tray that fits size of window. This is Amish air-conditioning! *Or you can look up how to make Swamp Coolers on YouTube. But you need access to a lot of big chunks of ice. If you can start freezing milk jugs and have room, start them now, have a few on rotation for swamp coolers. *I also bought Ice Silk blanket/sheet on Amazon. https://a.co/d/03elNNo5 I use just that, and a fan aimed at me with wet charcoal in front of it, I have a cooling gel mattress pad. Good luck!!! Keep ice water in the fridge, lots of ice, wet cloths for necks and faces.
