I have both with Crosspoint installed. The X4 feels slightly faster at turning on and off, but otherwise they're the same at flipping pages and such. The X3 actually has a slightly higher resolution display than the X4, so it still feels just as crisp to read on. The magnetic charger isn't proprietary. You can buy adapters on Amazon. I bought one and attached the loop to the end of a USB C cable and I have a convertible USB C plug readily available. I still prefer the USB C of the X4 because I have to fully remove my X3 from my magnetic case to charge. Not that you have to charge it often either way. I ultimately use the X3 way more because it is smaller and fits on the back on my phone easier. I have a Galaxy S26 Ultra with a magsafe case, and the camera placement means the X4 doesn't fit at all. The X3 can fit a little bit diagonally, but still magnets on and slides into my pocket easily.
