Pick up some Micromesh pads: https://a.co/d/0aaKlqmh. I would definitely not use a dremel tool or any power tools with this as you want to preserve as much original key finish and key flatness as possible. The good thing is, abs plastic is very easy to work with and refine by hand. I do it all the time sanding and polishing pens and pencils. In fact I worked on a metal K&M portable stand last month where I finished using micromesh pads to shape and polish the painted metal. See this piano repair technician who also used solvent on a client’s piano and ended up having to sand and polish it out: https://youtube.com/shorts/suwhPjhuXUU?is=033srm1YibjzSQWP So, don’t worry! it’s usually pretty easy to fix if you know what youre doing! Or just pay a repair guy to refinish your keys for you..If it’s plastic though, I would just do it myself. Plastics really easy to work with.. Sand the affected area with a grit that is able to smooth out the affected area and make sure its as even and flat as possible. Move up to finer and finer grit with each key. You should be able to get them to a good smooth shiny finish again, or to the texture that closely matches the original key surface.I have literally used Micromesh pads to restore the finish on wooden guitars, plastic pen bodies, cd scratches, wood, and metal. It pretty much works on every surface and can go from a finish of a metal wood rasp or hand file, all the way to a mirror finish. If the damage caused dips in the key, they will need to be filled in to get them flat (I’ll describe the process, for reference, but your damage looks so minimal, that I think all you need is a good sanding and polish, and actually recommend skip this step): Sand all the damage until its nice and smooth, keeping the affected areas minimal, go up slowly through the grits, and finally, use a drop or two of cyanoacrylate/clear super glue to add material back to the missing plastic, filling it in and wiping the excess level with a plastic card or scraper (my favorite for this is using a razor blade, with some masking tape over the blade -discard and replace the tape as you need for each key). Level it out with a card or scraper, before sanding it down level with the micromesh pads, to the key’s original surface one last time. You can give the cyanoacrylate/clear superglue whatever texture is closest to the original key surface. It can be made glossy for more grip, or slightly matte textured for less grip. You dont need to go to a very low grit at this step, since it finishes quite smooth already once its dry. And you can always go up and down using the micromesh pads if you need to. The main thing is you are filling in any dips made in it from sanding so that the key is flat and playable.

Use these. Start at the most coarse and work you way up to the finest. Just make sure you tape off your fretboard on either side of the fret with a low tack tape like blue painters tape. Best to go ahead and all the frets. I do a polish on all my guitars about once every 12-18 months.

You may be able to sand/polish it. You will need to wet sand (use water and sanding pads) and polish it. Start out with the coarsest sanding pad and work your way up to the finest. Then use the plastic polish to finish. I have done it a couple of times. Just take your time. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000H6EC4C?ref=cm_sw_r_cso_cp_apan_dp_6ZARPQ0DGFC5JRYWZTVT&ref_=cm_sw_r_cso_cp_apan_dp_6ZARPQ0DGFC5JRYWZTVT&social_share=cm_sw_r_cso_cp_apan_dp_6ZARPQ0DGFC5JRYWZTVT&rsd=mVwZ8FnVxx0%2F3MbXSQAYrmuvHidl7vGYO24UAEv9L8faOUqSNb46MUaSrlmPMfKc%2BsL7vYs6kCRsgsACVXnVOKyCGCdub5GMMv8zVms7wEbXfQmcVjHM&edk=AQIDAHi1lw%2FM8UbbSMD9ScOOFEmBMHMthHeEhqDaQYPJUAX3jQHwjjjj%2BC%2BJdNfTsN0FdezxAAAAfjB8BgkqhkiG9w0BBwagbzBtAgEAMGgGCSqGSIb3DQEHATAeBglghkgBZQMEAS4wEQQMiVuTs1wGe0PIKnbiAgEQgDuKdmJJArCiVpcAvAL%2FhkHCXafxyazS0eJ50KYZxbPZVeG8%2FdjtX1l2f23zr1fpKzcUFW%2F0CubbyZQYNA%3D%3D https://www.amazon.com/NOVUS-PK1-8-Plastic-Scratch-Remover-Bottles/dp/B0091IPVEW/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?crid=37OHGK5QUR6PL&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.zPUVdf6DviS3foN9oBN-t7EEgyc-RTM1-LmvxG2H3ypZF68OtwipRWqdyJdcJ2xMaqnc708pt1Yl4BQQrEqVOXBUIFYrxXc6lj-UkOIVY_6URcP_AdiwoI87OKfBKJu8RhQ2G_pYFLDNSNFFhnXv4-3gjymSQPOkxUT4K_ycysBliOPcKyNx8HD8qWJfOefy4TZknz1Q-_PKiG2qCunhLw.76hW2IqqFyfu3u0VPH-bYzpJnwObPI9_Z0AB9LC7iLc&dib_tag=se&keywords=novus+plastic+polish&qid=1781986793&sprefix=novus+plastic+polish%2Chome-garden%2C87&sr=8-1

These are the ones I got. I’ve had them two years and haven’t needed to replace them, and I use them a ton. They really last!
