I ended up buying this: Amazon.com: Metapen Stylus Pen M1 for Microsoft Surface (75-Day Battery Life, Smooth Writing), Compatible with Surface Pro 11/10/X/9/8/7/6/5/4/3/Book 3/Laptop 4/Studio 2, ASUS VivoBook Flip 14 for Students&Doers : Cell Phones & Accessories It was about $20 and works. It is not as nice as using the Apple Pencil on my iPad, but for my limited purposes it is great to have in my bag.
