First, when you say you have fishing thread, do you mean monofilament/clear "thread" or a fused line like Fireline or Wildfire? Monofilament/clear "thread" is not what you want, especially for something that will be placed on jeans. If this was my project I would make them as patches that can be stitched on and removed for washing the jeans. Red and pink beads are notorious for not being colorfast so you don't want to drop them in the washing machine. Bead backing is what I would recommend. Trace/draw the shape with a marker on the backing, and outline the large details. Stitch the beads on the outline first, again with Fireline or Wildfire and not monofilament. Then fill in with smaller and shaped beads. Tutorial After it is done, trim away the excess backing, leaving an edge of about 1/4" that you will use to stitch onto the pocket.
