I was using a shoe cabinet with eva dry packs - 1 roll deep 7 across. I averaged 33% humidity with out sealing the cabinet. Temp does not appear to be a factor. I upgraded to a new cabinet that is 2 rows deep and 10 across. Complete nightmare... I can get to 38% and it's sealed. Using a heating rod does nothing, sealing it had minimal effect. I tried a bucket of Damp Rid... not seeing it is doing anything at all. At this point I am looking at grabbing one of these -https://acinfinity.com/hydrone-5-plant-dehumidifier-with-10-drying-levels-all-climate-performance-for-2-3-plants/ So basically it comes down to a few options.1- Pack it with an absurd amount of silica you spend x hours a week baking silica and rotating it. (or eva dry packs ect) 2- Get an actual Dry Cabinet... occasionally you get get a cheap one on temu, but they are not always available. These are cheap metal cabinets with an electric desiccant box. Here is one I found on Amazon - Filament storage cabinet with dehumidifier (There are also more spendy versions...) 3- Get an actual electric desiccant box, not the eva dry packs but these appear to be cornered by the companies that make $1500-$30000 dry box cabinets. (or the cheaper cabinets as linked above) They basically have a fan and heater with inside and outside vents for air with desiccant. They normally have the vents open to the inside, and periodically close the inside vent, open the outside vent and heat up the desiccant. Good luck finding one... these are the OPTIMAL resolution. I've yet to try the dehumidifier I linked above, but I see customer reviews stating they reached 10% humidity... and a few that say they used it for filament storage. I'm not sure you need actual air flow in the cabinet you pictured, I didn't in my first cabinet. After messing with my current one, I've found it doesn't help so much with lowering the humidity, BUT it definitely speeds up how fast it gets to it's lowest humidity point.
