Did you get flux? You should apply some on the pads then tin the pads with some solder. This will create a perfect surface four your motor wires. Here’s a link to the flux I would recommend. I normally like the liquid flux pens, but they seem to be out of stock right now. Flux paste is good as well:https://a.co/d/0iwedDjy Also, make sure your wires are also properly trimmed. Apply some flux as well on the cable and put some solder on the tips. Then go ahead and solder the wires in place. Don’t leave the soldering iron on the pad for too long either. Apply heat, but then you need to let it cool down for a few seconds to avoid damaging the pads and surrounding components. I usually go in a cross pattern to let the board cool down.
