I like it but I totally understand not wanting something on your body that wasn't what you envisioned. My advice: Use "makeup" to cover it for a while and do nothing else to it. It sounds like you're frustrated and overwhelmed by how much you don't like it and just want to be done with the situation... but that's leading you to take action when you may just need a little distance from it to think about and research the best next step. I definitely would NOT get it shaded until you're sure.
