I will always crop dust an over-zealous seat recliner like that, if they manage to get past the acceptable recline I set with locked knees until I've eaten my meal. I also make sure to bang into their headrest 4-5 times on getting up, and on sitting down. Lots of unnecessary in/out of the over head locker. Finally, there's these: Amazon.com: Learning Resources Wood Geometric Solids, Kids Wooden Shapes, Montessori Toys, Set of 19 : Toys & Games I used to keep a few of these in my laptop bag when I was travelling more regularly pre-covid. A few of those in the seat pocket and at least I get to enjoy them thrashing around for comfort while my tray table is unusable. I don't fly as much nowadays as I used to, but I can still improvise since I'll always have travel adapters and the like I can make a spike or at least a hard lump with.
