DonJoy UltraSling III Shoulder Support Sling

My injury was May 1st. Surgery was June 5th. Full-thickness retracted tearing of the supraspinatus and infraspinatus. One of my bicep tendons was also reattached. Total of 7 anchors. Had a nerve block that lasted about 30 hours after surgery. Used Percocet, ibuprofen and Tylenol every 6 hours for the first 5'ish days, along with the ice machine. Stopped the ice machine and most meds at that point since the pain was minimal. Unless I'm sitting down and my shoulder is resting against something it's not an issue. As far as the ice machine, honestly I didn't change or shower for the first 4 days after surgery. Left the ice machine on, took my pain meds, and basically lived in the recliner I bought for this. I did switch from the over-the-neck shoulder immobilizer to one that secures around the arm, which was a HUGE improvement in comfort. For me, once the ice machine straps were fitted and placed, taking it off and putting it back on by myself was no more difficult than doing the same with my shoulder immobilizer. I purchased the ice machine on Amazon for about $105.
