Oh yeah, so any garage door that has the myQ logo on it you can download the app and just open it it’s fantastic. Some car manufacturers even built in now and there’s a app you can use on your phone for my CarPlay, but I think it cost money. We just use the one on the phone when we drive into the driveway. It’s wonderful.
I know this is not a smart home build it yourself solution, but for $30, this solved my issue. I got it at HD, though the link is to Amazon. myQ Smart Garage Control with WiFi Hub https://a.co/d/05SEp8aB It alerts when door is open for too long, closes automatically at a set time, and allows you to open/close remotely. My dumbass left the door open when we went away for the weekend. House alarm was set, but garage door open. Neighbor called next day, and their son closed it for us (push button, run, step over the beam). After the installation, I did it once when we went to grocery store. I closed via the app. Now, I bird dog the door when backing out. I may hit garbage can at end of driveway, or run over mailbox, but at least I have my eye on that dang door. lol.
