From what I've read so far... they do work, but I also think people just don't drive (or at least expect performance in the rain). I've never had to clean my MAF sensors on my stock G35. Tbh, a lot of people saying you don't even get that much performance out of CAI, and the MAF protected much better with stock air filters from the rain. I'd stick with stock, going back and forth driving my stock G35 and my new G37, the throttle response is night and day difference... my G37 just lags still (compared to what I'm used to stock)... even with the MAF sensors cleaned. I don't know what else to do that would make a difference? Clean throttle bodies? Clean air filters? Or maybe I just need to drop another $1-1.5k on a professional tune. If I could switch to stock, I 100% would, I just don't feel like putting all the stock plastic boxes and stuff in the car, i'd rather just try cleaning throttle bodies first and go from there. Here's some of the parts I have saved if you're interested.
