THIS clear ice is a scam. Clear ice however is very much not a scam. You can make this at home with a cheap directional freezing ice mold like this https://a.co/d/01Q5TW5S If you are a fan of making cocktails, clear ice is hands down one of the best things you can do to improve your drinks. You remove a ton of “fridge” flavor and scent from your cocktails and greatly elevate the experience. Also high-end alcohol is genuinely a scam too, not that good and bad alcohol doesn’t exist. It’s just that the high-end stuff is rarely worth it. An old fashioned made with Jim Beam, good ingredients, and a good large clear ice cube will beat any expensive bourbon with fridge ice.

You have to use directional freezing. There are molds for it on Amazon. I use Britta filtered water and a directional freezing ice mold. It is super easy. This is what I have. https://a.co/d/01Q5TW5S

Clear ice is actually really easy. You use directional freezing. There are molds on Amazon for them that cost around $30-$40. Takes awhile for it to freeze, and a minute or two to separate from the mold, but it’s crystal clear and 100% worth it for cocktails. I got really into mixology a few years ago, biggest upgrade ever was making clear ice at home. This is what I have. https://a.co/d/03lqmXvk

These are for cocktails - the "value prop" (whether you value it or not) is that they are allegedly clear. You can make these yourself with a directional freezing kit from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/ClearlyFrozen-High-Capacity-Clear-Maker/dp/B078ZM3F8G (or a more expensive kit like Wintersmiths or Klaris)
