i've been using m18 adapters to use all my brands of tools with milwaukee batteries using the adapter like this:https://www.amazon.com/Milwaukee-Converter-Terminals-Connector-Robotics/dp/B0B4F22W7Q i have skil, ryobi, ferrex, chinese no-name, and a couple others all using these adapters. i used to buy japanese sanyo 2500mah sub-c nicd cells from a rebuild shop. they were their rated capacity but were $2.50 each back 11 years ago. before he retired 5 years ago they were up to $3 each and now i am unable to find good cells anywhere. the best i can find are the chinese tenergy 2200mah and they fall short on capacity tests and have high failure rates in comparison. i think tenergy has a 3000mah nimh but sourcing them reputably is difficult and they still fall short of capacity and longevity. last i checked a few years ago they were $3.85 each.That's $57.75 before the rebuilding process for 18v. you can get a 3ah m18 brand new for the same price.
