My guys love feather teaser wands as well. I have to store them away when not in use. One of them, Draco will chase and jump for it to the point of panting in an a/c environment - I get him to take a break and cool down on the ceramic tiles. It's telescoping, so I can just fling it from the couch into the open living/dining room. 😆 Another favorite is the puzzle/maze box where they have to work to get treats out. I started out with a felt version and once they figured out how to get the treats I upped the ante and got the wooden versions. 😂 It's great for freeze dried treats and Temptations. Heck, you could even try kibble if your boy is fond of his. Then there's the interactive skirt toy. It has an attachment under the skirt flat on the ground that randomly moves in a circle and pokes out occasionally, plus a butterfly attachment on top that flutters in a circle, ever changing directions. It's rechargeable and last for quite a while. You can set it to have only one of the two attachments move and also adjust the speed. Skirt toy link: https://a.co/d/00wV4KgK Puzzle Box

The other best option would be to play with him a lot so he starts to look at you and your teenager for play versus your older cat. How much time do you spend playing every day? Id get a variety of toys, wands, balls, springs, laser pointers and i got this automated toy that my cats are loving which can provide him play while youre busy. You could also get a bird feeder to place outside a window to mentally stimulate him while youre out of the house during the day. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BX9KXKPH?ref_=ppx_hzod_image_mob_b_fed_asin_title_0_0 He should calm down as he ages. My 2 year olds are much calmer than when they were under 1.

Get a few interactive toys and circulate them. Once a cat gets used to the toy it doesn't have the same effect. I can link some toys that my cat loves. You just have to put them up and change them out often for the novelty to stay. https://a.co/d/08UriPqC (this took a while for her to get used to, but she is obsessed now). https://a.co/d/0dKoho7q https://a.co/d/0fR6YnIa https://a.co/d/09GwNOro https://a.co/d/06vb3pIL https://a.co/d/0b1EWvWr https://a.co/d/04gphgmW And honesty a paper bag with a new or withheld cat toy lol I don't own all of these, but I'd like to own them or similiar ones. I just like making a list to browse and keep for the future. I do own some though
