For your use case as you described? You're fine. The Xbox Ally will work well. I've been enjoying the hell out of GFN on my SD OLED connected to my TV and the Xbox Ally is a smidge more powerful than the SD. Grab the UGreen 6-in-1 dock from Amazon for $30 and you'll have VRR available on the TV or monitor (though not when using GFN specifically). Edit: Legion Go 1 is a mixed bag IMO. Much more powerful processor. Much larger screen. But big and heavy. No VRR on the display. You'll also need to knock down the resolution often for performance reasons when playing more powerful titles. But still, it is definitely more powerful. Also much worse ergonomics than the Xbox Ally.

This is the US Amazon link for a very good UGreen Dock for US $32.00. https://www.amazon.com/UGREEN-Gigabit-Ethernet-Region-MacBook/dp/B0F249TYWY/ I don't know if you can find it in Romania, but it's the least expensive dock that has VRR that I've seen. I have it and it works well with the Ally X. Good luck!
I would honestly return that one and buy this one instead which i am using the 9 in 1 version which is a great dock and can transfer the sound to your TV.
