It’s been said here multiple times, but this is how they mount. I had that style on my Q7 (backup chair now) and I always broke the spring. Massive improvement over hospital chair brakes, but I would never get them again. I would suggest brakes like these (currently what Scissor lock brakes are): https://a.co/d/08tpbJSy. They take some getting used to, but you can lock & unlock while holding your wheels. Game changer. Good luck!
