This adapter would allow you to plug the hose in, but you will probably need to take it off in order to get the tank filled. Alternatively, it looks like the fitting is just screwed in. This fitting could be swapped out so you don't have to worry about it. Realistically, you should probably replace the hose and regulator anyway. They don't last forever, and you're well past the recommended replacement point of that's from the 90s. You can get a ready made hose that's already got the fitting on it, and just connects to the grill.
