I had a similar situation happen once. I had used a mag rim and while doing 45 all but one of the spokes failed. That was interesting but I had good breaks and managed to keep upright. From the looks in the picture it seems like the tire bead came over the rim allowing the tube to escape and pop. Might look into a tire with a tight fitting bead something that takes a bit more effort to get onto the rim. I know there are specific measurements between rim and tire beyond say 26" by say 2" but I don't know that information on how to match the rim and tire perfectly. Make sure the bead is seated properly as you inflate the tires. It's also possible the steel cable in the bead got stretched and let this happen.
