If you are ok mounting into the brick, you can look into a wall mount that raises and lowers the TV. I have an electric one like this. Like others have said, you can consider lowering the mantle. I don't think it would fit, but you could also consider moving the TV into one of the white cabinets to the side and removing a shelf (if it would even fit). I don't really like the idea of rearranging a living room just to accommodate a TV if you don't like the way everything else flows. I like how big and open this room is, and there's a clear center focal point in the fireplace -- personally I'd work on a way to keep the TV close to where it is and just lower it.
