No offense, but what's also not really helping, is putting the drive upside down. Looking at that picture, it's pretty clear that the bottom side is facing upwards. Other than that, a regular HDD only has so many years of performance, so ultimately, it will have to be replaced. I'd highly recommend solid state memory: no moving parts that will wear down over time, so a far more secure solution. You could either get a plug and play SSD drive, put a 2.5" SSD in an enclosure, or get an M2/NVMe module in an enclosure. Do make sure you get them from a reliable brand, if you decide to go for any of these options, like in the examples I linked to. Saving money by going for some cheap crap ultimately often ends up costing you more, because these cheap brands very often have issues or stop working altogether, so then you'd have to buy another one anyway, not to mention losing all your data in the process as well.
