I just bought these from Airhas: https://a.co/d/0f6qrs41 $40. Quality seems surprisingly good (I was expecting much worse). The grip feels pretty good in my opinion. I wore them around Busch Gardens and Disney World with 0 pain. Also just ran through the rain with them yesterday on concrete and asphalt and no slipping. They have a removable insole as well so you can choose a little extra cushion or a more direct ground feel. It's my first pair of barefoot shoes, but they really surprised me. They're very breathable as well. Of course I can't speak for the longevity just yet, but I think they'll last at least a year or 2 with everyday use. They also have other styles available. Might be worth a shot for $40.
