Since someone reached out to me about this so I'll share here for others as well. This is as a Vietnamese. I am not sponsored. Option 1: instant coffee https://www.amazon.com/Trung-Nguyen-Legend-Instant-Coffee/dp/B07NKZVD77 (sweetier) https://www.amazon.com/TRUNG-SPECIAL-Premium-Technology-Non-Dairy/dp/B08CXFTQPP/131-1450765-3199250 Instant coffe is pretty straightforward with a catch if drink iced: Pour hot water 90C/194F equals to the amount of coffee powder in volume, stir, and enjoy hot. If you want iced, WAIT or PUT IT IN THE REFRIGERATOR until the coffee cools down to room temperature, then add ice and enjoy. Please note, for iced, the cool down part is of paramount: it will taste like sh*t if you don't let it cool. Option 2: coffee beans / ground coffee https://us.amazon.com/TRUNG-LEGEND-SUCCESS-Premium-Full-City/dp/B08YXMD27P?th=1 is what I use. The keyword is "Trung Nguyen Success 2", but it is out of stock at the moment. And yes, number "2" is important. It is the number indicator to the blend of the coffee, and I enjoy 2 most out of 8 I tried. Alternatively, ground version (more expensive, but taste the same): https://www.amazon.com/Trung-Nguyen-Vietnamese-Coffee-Creative/dp/B0848TWLH9 Creamer (important!): it MUST be "Southern Star Condensed Milk" such as on Weee. I have tried a lot of other creamers and none works as good as this. An ALUMNIUM coffee filter (phin) such as https://www.amazon.com/TRUNG-LEGEND-Vietnamese-Traditional-Portable/dp/B0F9KHPHTC A coffee grinder. I simply bought a $15 Amazon Basics. Steps to make it: Look inside the phin and there will be 2 dots. That's the amount of coffee you need to use. Grind the beans if you use beans. Put the grinded/ground coffee to the phin so that it rises to the same level as the dot. The grinding level is difficult, but what I can say is not too hard yet not too soft. Maybe 20s of continuous grind is enough. Boil water until it reaches 90C/194F, and first add a small amount of said water to the phin, then use the end of the spoon to stir it a bit. Don't need to add too much, just a little so that the coffee fully absorbs the hot water. Then, add the rest of the said water in so that it reaches the top of the phin, and wait for it to drip. You can add more if you prefer more coffee. After it fully drips, add the creamer. I usually pour directly in so that the creamer is 1/3 of the coffee. Use 1/2 if you prefer it to be more sweet. Stir it and enjoy. Add ice if you want iced version. Preferraly iced version is way more delicious to me. No need to wait for it to cool down since the dripping part already cools it. I can buy all of these ingredients at City Farmers Market. There's one in Duluth, but I think it sells these at any branch.
