I would definitely try and make his food soft for him! You could also try and cut up some high-moisture veggies like cucumber into very small chunks. You can also offer him a (very small!) bowl of water and see if he’ll drink out of that. If all else fails, I’d definitely try the syringe. There’s also a powder food that you can mix with water, Omnivore Critical Care, that is kind of like a slurry and can act as replacement nutrition until his tooth can get trimmed.
