It is always important to keep in mind that the Mexicans are the good guys in that conflict even though they are constantly committing acts of depravity. The Texans were all slave owners that were committing an even greater evil. They wanted to establish a gigantic slave state where millions of black people would live and die in bondage. Much worse outcome than the war crimes committed by an abolitionist Mexican state. You may find this book of interest: Forget the Alamo: The Rise and Fall of an American Myth
