I Played through that "Paper Mario and the 1000 Year Door" on my Switch with no real issues. For most of the Play through I used a Nintendo Switch Controller that was 2 joycons that linked together to look like a GameCube controller. I got it on amazon for like $45. But I dont recall anything too difficult with it. Its main bonus is that for that 1000 year door game is the buttons on screen are the right size/shape/position for the various in game 'quick actions' you need to use. It could also snap onto my switch as joycons. My Poor Switch Joycons take a beating from the grandkids. :) But they HATE the GC controllers, so they leave my switch alone when I have them plugged in.
