We have noticed improvement using Spartan Mosquito Traps. But they're pricey, so I made a couple buckets of doom. It's only been a couple weeks, but they seem to have the same effect! Also, someone else mentioned dragon flies.... they eat mosquitos! I notice they hang out on my red yuccas (but any plant with long, flat surface works). They also like my bird bath, which is in a sunny area.
