Assuming it is a plossl, it will produce a sharp image. They are fine eyepieces, but there are 3 downsides to plossls: at focal lengths shorter than ~11mm, the eye relief (distance you have to hold your eye from the lens) becomes uncomfortably short. the eye lens itself is very small, which can make the viewing experience less enjoyable as you have to line your eye up with a tiny hole. plossls only have a 52° apparent field of view (aFOV). This is like looking at space through a porthole vs through a large window. This is actually not a huge deal, but is worth noting for the text below. For ~$30 you could get a 6mm “redline” eyepiece. Sold under various brand names but has a 68° aFOV and will include the text “wide angle”, “ultra wide”, “ultra wide angle”, or “UW”. https://www.amazon.com/Skyoptikst-Astronomical-Accessories-Wide-Angle-1-25MU6MM68/dp/B09ZQNSC79/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=1CJHY1GFA20QN&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.4PDsFpmVLRyzihB1y0MC0JS3J2q4iTrZAy-OR5tLExhXTqtVXiS--tKPCP2dQbJIwPMEmXPCmLCfGBC_rW_Ci5uegkoQP9znaRsNVHeW0UVD0CkKoLCn9wxHA-vCI5oqUlHHI9gjjBhMf9VXL1ZfAdUXytsVrrpptg9JNIW9wx2wG0TP9nP-1luQ8Ko6CQjvYp07r7xymk-Mqt4mrYH_Dg.p9NqjY2jHVVDPqen7jjdCT2eKZQ7-68qEn10aNxnDV8&dib_tag=se&keywords=6mm+68+degree+eyepiece&qid=1779853601&sprefix=6mm+68+degree+eyepiece%2Caps%2C113&sr=8-3 This eyepiece has: longer eye relief larger eye lens larger aFOV I understand if the plossl is the only thing within budget. But if you have the ability to spend more, this is a significant improvement for a great value.
