That UPS must have been an absolute PITA to mount mid-way up the rack. lol. I run a GXT4-1500 + additional battery shelf (53 kg / 115 lb total), and both of those heavy bastards act like a boat anchor to prevent the rack from tipping over -- helpful if you ever decide to install sliding rails for rack-mount servers (eg. Dell R730, HP, etc.) I have 2x 1U "dumb" PDUs mounted to the top-rear of my rack, and those connect to the UPS's outlets (two of them because one of them is connected to the UPS's switched outlet, the other is always on for essential network gear in case I need to conserve power in an outage). You can get decent 1U "dumb" PDUs for under $100 brand new, and for very cheap used (ie. from a local recycler/surplus shop or ebay). They usually come with very long power cables too.
