Yea its a great inexpensive fish finder for a kayak. You can run it on a traditional 12v battery but i use this Nocqua battery pack. Its very small but very powerful. I usually fish for like 6 hours and it barely uses 20% of the battery. Disregard the 2 reviews and the fact they are negative. I and a ton of kayak anglers use this battery and it works great. The battery and extra cables I just put in a little dry bag strapped to the front of my kayak.
