I also got fed up with the tins real fast xD I went with a bunch of these roll up cases; they don't take up a lot of space in storage and I like that you can fold em however you like if you only need certain pencils. Plus they come in various sizes, largest I have is for 72 pencils iirc (no idea if that is a good one, just grabbed one of the first hits as an example)
