I’ve had to camp at several festivals that time of the month. I love these wipes that are individually wrapped for in my backpack/fanny pack. I always wear pads, she’s too heavy to just wear tampons without there being a mess. That’s your discretion though, whatever is comfortable for you. I also always wear some tight black athletic shorts for that weekend, at least if I know I’ll be in attendance the first 3 days of the cycle which is the worst for me. I will wear them under harem pants, skirts, whatever cuteness I was planning on wearing just to protect them from any accidents and keep everything in place. Changing feminine hygiene products in the port a potty sucks. It just is what it is. Get either a headlamp or a light like this that you can clip onto your shirt/bag strap. If you’re worried about discomfort I bring the midol that comes in the blister packs, not the kind in the bottle, just so security can’t hassle me about it when going through the actual event security line (not the car camping line they won’t gaf). Just be careful drinking too much with it, ibuprofen based pain relief is better to have when you’ve been drinking. I’ve also gotten temporary sticky heating pads like these from the pharmacy. Bring a blanket or something to lay down on when in the venue. You’re gonna need to rest more than your friends. Blankets are awesome especially at Sherwood court which is kind of at the bottom of a hill so you’ll still be able to have a great view while sitting down. Pack a lot of extra undies and shorts/pants just in case. Be careful as I’ve recently read some interesting articles that drugs react differently if you’re on your period, even alcohol, etc. So start smaller than usual if you’ve got any plans for that. Rest as much as you need to. Have fun! :) Good news is I’ve found the constant physical activity tends to make it get lighter and less painful and often times shorter. Happy forest!!
