A lot of times these worries of what others think from from intrusive thoughts. Dialectical behavioral therapy is a very good therapeutic tool to work on intrusive thoughts. You can get help from a therapist who can practice DBT with you. But you can also practice DBT on yourself. I highly recommend this book and have recommended it to people on this sub in the past. DBT workbook.

I've also heard great things about it. I started DBT with a therapist for a month or so before life got crazy, and I just bailed... But here are some resources to help you:- Online Free Course: https://www.therahive.com/courses- Free DBT Source: https://dbtselfhelp.com/- Podcast DBT & Me: https://dbtandme.buzzsprout.com/- I've heard so many great reviews about this workbook; my therapist has also suggested to use it: https://www.amazon.com/Dialectical-Behavior-Therapy-Skills-Workbook/dp/1684034582

For anxiety things, I always recommend the green book. Great paired with therapy, but also great on its own. Medication can be a big help for some people, if that is an option for you. For more immediate results, this is one of those areas where really cliche advice may be the best advice. Fake it til you make it. Do it scared. Essentially exposure therapy. This might work for you, or you might find it paralyzing. If there is anyone there you trust that you can talk to about this struggle, do that. It can be easier when someone knows what you're dealing with, and they may be inclined to help. As someone with generalized anxiety disorder, I know how hard this is. Part of getting past it is trusting that they hired an intern because they want an intern, and they want to provide things for you to do. You are there because you are wanted there and deserve to be there.
