Hey I know this isn't the advice you wanted but it might be worth it. Amazon has a product called RO buddie. Its about $70 and you hook it up to a sink faucet and I get 0-10 ppm regularly. I only say this because I know when I first started looking at ro systems I didnt wanna pay 300 for something that makes a pint every 2 hours or some shit (obv exaggeration but you get the point) I say that just to say I would pay 70 dollars to not undertake the task you have at hand unless you have a specific beef with ro machines. I run rdwc an have for years with this system just replacing things every 3 months or so because I want to stay as low ppm as possible and im running ~75 gallons a week for 2 systems, but it can run for months without replacing if youre not doing all that. Here's a link for it and you can decide if this fits or not cuz i get it, some of those ro systems are pricey. https://www.amazon.com/Aquatic-Life-Changing-Deionization-Cartridge/dp/B00204CQF6?crid=3AA96Q2XKMA1R&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.ccC1OgBFpjf858QmtED7U68s7LR87QB1A8pUv7kWEYBdtPoYVwVHnwX6TW21D2GrMCcJK7DXbiZplK8CymQFJJczNaKeHEMx4GHf3Zt8_dEKoI6US3kw6XzWHHy0lQr5g6uoSyWF-f0vrj4r0QcS9A_oNEOZmTrFopqwPvYzQ-e1Ihd5fqvsnIlONyozki6yxG6CSR8n_z6DsB1rZKzlUQ.nhuc2R4B3VnPZeWFDRn4EPfJZIpKeljfHytCsVicdl4&dib_tag=se&keywords=ro+buddy&qid=1782766621&sprefix=ro+b%2Caps%2C326&sr=8-3

I got my RO system of Amazon and it cost me only about 200 usd Edit: This is the exact system I use and it's gone down in price significantly https://a.co/d/0iy8pMui

pH and KH are too low for Neocaridina. pH is prone to sudden swings into extreme lows when KH is <2. Neocaridina are sensitive to sudden changes. They also will fail their molts with a KH <2. Calcium carbonate is likely low if KH is low which is what they need for successful molts. Consider adding crushed coral to buffer the water slowly or add read about Seachem products like Equilibrium and Alkaline buffer. I’d strongly recommend a home RO/DI filter like Aquatic Life RO Buddie 4-Stage Reverse Osmosis Deionization Water Filter System for anyone will well water or, like myself, with extremely soft water (low KH and GH).

How much RO are you needing? I ended up installing an undersink RO buddy in one of my bathrooms. https://a.co/d/06j9Ag2Y
