If you don't want to hot spot all the time and you have video files in your local media library already, this is what I use for my set up. I had a cheap Onn 4k streaming device from Walmart (It was 15 bucks when I bought mine on clearance). Get an OTG Micro USB with power This if you want to use MicroSD memory card and a 90degree hdmi adapter if you dont want the hdmi cable to stick out from the center console and become a tripping hazard. USB from the center console > USB A to micro USB cable > OTG adapter > Streaming device. Plug your flash drive or memory card reader into the USB A port on the OTG adapater. You can also convert the video files to 720p to save space and lessen the load on the streaming device if you want.

I just got an ONN Pro box, I needed to add a device, and wanted to try something different than our multiple Rokus. I'm liking it so far. And they have hardware down to about $25, though they are popular, and availability can be a challenge. But just figured it was worth mentioning. It runs AndroidTV, and is a more-open ecosystem than Roku, with some interesting benefits. Like I installed a modified YouTube app that eliminates the ads. Onn TV boxes are pretty great. Over the years, I've switched from TiVo to Roku and now to Onn TV and it's about as convenient as a home media PC + Roku. And for $20, it's dang hard to beat.
