Hey all! I write books with a style heavily influenced by RPGs and other fantasy games. My first traditionally published release is the hardcover edition of How to Defeat a Demon King in Ten Easy Steps! It's is a Zelda and Dragon Quest inspired comedy novella, and it's a good intro to my style. My latest series, The Lost Edge, starts with Edge of the Woods, which is highly inspired by The Legend of Zelda and Dragon Quest franchises. It's the story of a young man growing up in a faerie forest and seeking answers about his family, his past, and his dreams of an ancient magic sword. The most recent release is Edge of the Dream. Arcane Ascension begins with Sufficiently Advanced Magic and is my most popular series. It's heavily inspired by games JRPGs Final Fantasy, Lufia, Bravely Default, and Trails of Cold Steel. It takes place in a high magic setting where magical marks called attunements grant vast powers to individuals who take "Judgments" inside a colossal tower to earn them. My other main series are Weapons & Wielders and The War of Broken Mirrors. Weapons and Wielders follows Keras Selyrian, a magic-wielding swordsman who arrives in a foreign land to search for help for his homeland. In the process, he will stumble upon the legend of the Six Sacred Swords and begin to seek them out. The first novel in that series is Six Sacred Swords, and the series as a whole is heavily inspired by games like The Legend of Zelda, Dragon Quest, and Ys. You might enjoy it if you're in the mood for talking swords, bibliophile dragons, and a lot of accidentally breaking traps and puzzles. The audio book versions can be found here, narrated by the fantastic Nick Podehl! The War of Broken Mirrors, which starts with Forging Divinity, is more closely related to western fantasy novels and RPGs. Forging Divinity focuses on a group of people investigating a city's religion, which claims that the local gods can raise anyone to divine status if they prove their loyalty and value.

LitRPG with strong crafting elements: Industrial Strength Magic: (review, amazon, audible): Crafting-focused story where the MC is a Tinker harnessing the power of a mage to fight against the eldritch horrors of The Tide. Rise of the Living Forge: (review, royal_road): Crafting-heavy blacksmith fiction where a former hero just wants to be left alone. Chaotic Craftsman Worships The Cube: (review, royal_road): Crafting-focused story where the MC and others are summoned to another world to help fight a demon invasion that's consumed the galaxy. Antimage: (review, royal_road, amazon, audible): LitRPG isekai with a PhD protag that uses his Earth knowledge to pull ahead. The Runic Artist: (review, amazon, royal_road, audible): An art/crafting focused MC accidentially finds himself in a different universe that seems to not respect his desire to be left alone one bit! Quest Academy: (review, amazon, audible): A scifi academy story with humanity under assult from demons, featuring a very overpowered protagonist. Divine Dungeon: (review, amazon, audible): LitRPG. Great into to dungeon core. First few books are great. The ending is a bit lacking. Turret Mage: (review, amazon, audible, royal_road): A teen mechanic gets isekai'd into a glitching System tutorial and has to bend his crafting class into something that can actually kill things. Progression Fantasy with strong crafting elements: Mother of Learning: (review, amazon, royal_road, audible): Progression fantasy, and time loops done right. Smart MC, great plot, varied magic systems. Groundhog day has nothing on this. Arcane Ascension: (review, amazon, audible): Progression fantasy in academic setting. Great world, detailed magic, intelligent characters, extraordinarily fun. Crafting and spire/dungeon focus. Mark of the Fool: (review, amazon, royal_road, audible): Academic-focused progression fantasy with analytical MC, great characters and innovative thinking. I am such a sucker for good magic academy books, and this is one of the greats. The Years of Apocalypse: (review, royal_road): Time loops with a clever female MC, deep worldbuilding, and a plot that has more layers than the world's largest onion. The Enchanter: (review, amazon, audible): Progression fantasy. Crafting, intelligent protagonists, school setting, it's right up my alley. The First Law of Cultivation: (review, amazon, audible): Sect and alchemy focused cultivation isekai novel with lots of spirit companions.
