I used a miter saw to cut the staircase noses. I tried using a knife but I couldn’t cut them. For the long cuts of the floor I used a circular saw with a 4 foot level to guide me. It made it a lot easier to make precise long cuts. You just need some thick cardboard in between the table so that you don’t cut through it. I would recommend getting a stair case gauge template to help you measure the step precisely. https://a.co/d/06qQpcduMy stairs had a bit of angle, probably like 2 degrees but it made the gaps between the wall and the floor look huge. The last thing is that I would recommend is taping the two pieces of floor together as you work through getting the stair to fit. I did the mistake of not doing it at the beginning and the boards weren’t lining up to each other. Best of luck to you!
