Treats are necessarily a bad thing, what matters the most is what type of treats you’re giving them. We only use these treats: https://a.co/d/00bcjefQ.

He is just a bit overweight, if you give him treats maybe cut back. The only dog treats we give our dogs is this brand which our vet sales (treat link). I learned early on with my Yorkie most treats bloat her really bad and give her HORRIBLE gas. Our vet actually gives a bag of these treats out for every exam, and we noticed they didn’t bother her like that so it’s the only type we use. As far as dog food, we only feed our dogs Blue Buffalo. When you have small dogs it’s pretty affordable, if we had big dogs I honestly don’t know if we could afford to. 🤣 Do you feed him any human food? We do not give our Yorkies any human food. My family likes to let dogs lick their plates clean, and we don’t do anything like that. Growing up a few of my childhood dogs got severe pancreatitis and one almost died. If they get any human food it’s a carrot, bell pepper, or watermelon lol. It typically only happens when I’m in the kitchen and it falls off the counter as I’m cooking. As long as you focus on consistency and don’t aggressively try to cut back and change everything about your pet’s diet all at once you will be fine. You asking shows you genuinely care about your pets health, and want to give your pup the best life possible. You got this. ❤️
