Icing worked wonders for me! Here's what I did: Once my oxaliplatin infusion started, I'd pull these ice packs (Amazon link below) out of the cooler I brought with me. I really only used the foot ones. For my hands, I would request 2 sets of small gloves from my nurse. I would double glove each hand, then I would have them bring me a coffee cup with ice in it that I would hold. None of this was frostbite cold and I could switch hands if I needed to. The gloves restrict blood flow so the idea is that the meds can't get to them as well. I did not suffer to keep constant cold on me. If I felt too cold, I would take a break. This is not 100% about discomfort and cold on skin at any cost. You are just lessening the effects so they aren't the absolute worst. So don't be a perfectionist about it. Just do your best with what feels doable. SuzziPad Ice Pack Stress Relief... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BZ424233?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
